What Parents Say About Our Nursery

All four of my children have attended this nursery and I absolutely love it, as do they. I can go to work and not worry about them because I know they are fully looked after and all their needs are tended to. You can tell all the staff really do care about the children and the children love them all. I highly recommend this nursery! The nursery itself has lots to offer the children, they do plenty of activities with them and my children have learnt so much, my elder two, who are now in school were so prepared for school from learning so much at the nursery.

Madeleine, M

Holyrood is a fantastic nursery, my two oldest children aged 16 and four attended and my youngest ages two, and three and a half months currently attend. The care and support the children receive is second to none, my two-year-old gets upset when she can’t go in. My youngest has just started and the support and reassurance from all the staff has been invaluable and helped ensure a smooth transition. I would highly highly recommend Holyrood to every parent, it is amazing.

Lucinda, O

My daughter has been with Holyrood Shaw since she was 11-months-old and has just joined the preschool room. She loves nursery and all of the staff who have created a nurturing environment and encouraged her development throughout. The various nursery rooms are spacious with lots of different activities for the children to explore. My daughter loves the outdoor space and activities they do outside. The staff and management are professional and have been fantastic throughout. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Outdoor Discovery: Growing, Learning, and Playing in Nature

We love to get outside at Holyrood, Shaw! Each of our 4 rooms has its own separate inviting outside space, all appropriately set up for their age groups. All of our outdoor areas provide children with opportunities to get fresh air and have fun in a safe and secure environment.

The children love playing in our gardens which offer a variety of activities including mud kitchens, water play, outdoor classrooms and many more resources to promote safe and fun outdoor play. As well as access to our fabulous outdoor play areas, children of all ages enjoy regular walks in the local area. Our youngest children are often seen out in our double buggies enjoying the fresh air, sights and sounds of the local community.

We use high visibility vests to keep children safe when out on trips away from the nursery. We believe there is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing – so we ask parents to provide their children with appropriate clothing for all types of weather.

We are committed to being an environmentally friendly nursery, making changes wherever we can in order to make the world a cleaner place! We are a registered ECO-Nursery and are committed to teach our children about their environment and the effect we have on it in our day to day lives.
