Thrive Celebrates The Jubilee With A Range Of Royal Activities Fit For A Queen!
On February 6th this year, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
To celebrate this historic occasion, the children at Thrive Childcare and Education will spend the week beginning Monday 30th May engaged in a host of fun and exciting activities. These will include making castles, flags and a throne; various arts and crafts activities; our very own Commonwealth Games and the chance to dress up as princess, prince, knights.

The latest nursery to come into the Thrive family, Homestead in Frodsham, Cheshire, decorated have also been celebrating this historic occasion…
In the Babies room, they had a Jubilee shaving foam sensory tray, and marching bands with musical instruments.
The Butterflies room Jubilee sensory rice, hat decorating, and, naturally, afternoon tea.
The Ladybirds room also had a jubilee sensory tray. They also engaged the children in exploring and creating their own union jack flags, role-play, afternoon tea and crown making.
In the Busy Bees room, the children were decorating a Jubilee tree inspired by a story, having afternoon tea with a life-size Queen cut-out.
Collectively, Homestead Nursery had a Jubilee Garden Party on Monday but, alas, had to hold this event indoors owing to the typical British summer weather!
