A Day at Nursery

Plentiful Days – Curated for Different Age Groups

Children are supported by skilled and nurturing practitioners who know them well. This ensures that environments, resources and experiences are planned for and encourage play and exploration.

Play is a process through which children are free to explore, investigate and re-create to allow them to understand the world around them. Play acts as a vital part of brain development and therefore learning through play is embedded throughout a child’s experience of a day in nursery.

Our practitioners understand that each child has their own unique day at nursery and are on hand to support and extend learning through planned and child-led experiences. Children of all ages are provided with spaces where they feel safe, secure and happy, with a range of age-appropriate resources and experiences which invoke a sense of curiosity, awe and wonder. Physical development, Neuroscience and Conservation are areas in which Thrive Childcare and Education is passionate about delivering and therefore these are an integral part of everything that we do.

Parent Feedback

The staff at Holyrood Nursery Swinton are lovely, very professional and caring. With regards to the nursery, the rooms are light and airy, with great chillout spaces. All of the facilities are excellent inside and outside. The outside space is great, with plenty of room and things to do.

My little girl goes to Astley and she is in pre-school she is loving it in there as she has come on leaps and bounds since she has moved up. They do loads of lovely activities with the children. The gardens here are very big and all the children love going outside in the cars and the other toys when I pick up my little girl. All of the staff are all very friendly and are very happy to help you if you have a problem or have any questions. All of the management team are very happy to help you with any questions that you may have.

I was nervous leaving my son for the first time when returning to work. However, the staff at Happitots put me at ease. Settling in days were offered which helped ease him in gently. The staff are friendly and reassuring. You can see how warm they are with all of the children and you can call in anytime without feeling like you’re pestering!

My grandson has settled well into the nursery since starting in March 2020. During the current situation, the procedures in place have kept me at ease knowing that my grandson’s safety and needs were a priority. Staff have been supportive and have engaged with me giving me a detailed handover at collection following the safe hand over procedures in place. My grandson has continued to thrive. I have enjoyed the access to the learning journals in place this allowed me to see his development and nursery experiences as we can’t share these in person.
